Edison State at Piqua

About Edison State at Piqua

Edison State at Piqua is located across I-75 from the historic city of Piqua, Ohio, in Miami County. The campus sits on a 131-acre rural plain among agricultural fields and neighboring educational institutions.

The buildings on this Edison State site have evolved over its relatively short history to respond to the needs of students and the community. West Hall, the original main building was constructed after moving from leased structures in downtown Piqua. Increasing enrollment pushed construction east to include classrooms in East Hall. The northern expansion added dining facilities, a gymnasium, theater, classrooms and laboratories to accommodate the growing nursing and healthcare programs. The most recent development points westward and includes technologically advanced meeting spaces designed to bring the world to Edison State through the Emerson Center, an architecturally unique LEED-certified building.

As Edison State adapts its planning to incorporate sustainable building practices, we are committed to laying a foundation for the future in many ways. Increasing enrollment and advancing technology have Edison State prepared to be a trusted resource for its community. As it has been since its inception.
