Service-learning provides students the opportunity to apply instruction and skills through helping others within the community. If you or your organization has an idea on a service-learning project, we would like to know about it.

TechCred

The Ohio TechCred program funds up to 20,000 technology-focused creditentials.

With Edison State as a training partner, employers will have access to numerous short-term, technology-focused and industry recognized credentials which qualify for funding by Ohio’s TechCred program. In fact, employers can be reimbursed by up to $2,000* in training costs once the employee has successfully completed a credential.

No matter your industry, technology is having an impact on the future of your business and the nature of your work. Ohio’s TechCred program gives businesses the chance to upskill current or future employees to help them qualify for a better job in today’s tech-infused economy.
 

*$2,000 per employee, up to $30,000 total available per funding period.

Work-Based Learning

Work-Based Learning is a unique form of education that integrates classroom study with planned and supervised work experience. It allows students to acquire essential and practical skills by being exposed to real-life situations.

Edison State provides employers with qualified students who are seeking to find career connections to expand their professional networks. The students that you hire for co-op/intern positions will be your employees—under your guidance.

Service Learning

Service learning provides students the opportunity to apply instruction and skills through helping others within the community. If you or your organization has an idea on a service-learning project, we would like to know about it.

How Edison State students are helping our community through service learning :

  • Offering free tax preparation in conjunction with Partners of Hope
  • Nursing students provide covid/flu vaccine clinics on campus
  • Working with Habitat for History to preserve and restore the historical village of Caesar Creek Pioneer Village
  • Repurposing newspaper disbursement racks, by converting them into “little libraries” for placement in the community
