Edison State at Troy was established to meet the needs of the growing healthcare industry and is positioned to be the center of healthcare education and training in the Upper Miami Valley. The Troy location will also host numerous general education courses and transfer pathways to both in- and out-of-state four-year universities. Additionally, Edison State at Troy presents the opportunity for College Credit Plus coursework and support to regional businesses via response to workforce training and apprenticeship opportunities.

Franklin University Agreement

A co-location agreement with Franklin University provides students with the opportunity to pursue a bachelor's degree in healthcare beginning at Edison State at Troy and completing at Franklin University through on-site or online course offerings.

    College Credit Plus Logo

    College Credit Plus (CCP) offers a unique opportunity for students to enhance and further their educational and career objectives while still in high school. CCP students can earn college and high school credit concurrently, accelerating their college careers at no cost.

    Edison State at Troy welcomes students from all high schools in the county and is committed to providing the highest quality education and service to students, guidance counselors, teachers and administrators. We have an Enrollment Manager/CCP Advisor working out of several county schools, and who is available at area high schools at designated times. Speak to your guidance counselor for available times.

    Jumpstart your educational goals by completing your general education requirements at Edison State at Troy. Transfer Assurance Guides (TAGs) provide information on general and specific education coursework that students can complete and transfer.

    Several programs can be completed in full at the Edison State at Troy location utilizing a combination of in-class and online course work. Complete your associate degree, certificate or short-term technical certificate without leaving the county! Transfer options are also available at the Troy location. Students can take advantage of a substantial savings in tuition by completing their first 60 credit hours in Troy before transferring to a four-year college or university.      

    NOTE  All admission and financial aid requirements must be met and adhered to.

    The following programs and certificates are available for completion at Edison State at Troy.

    Short-Term Technical Certificates

    Important: Federal Financial Aid is not available for Short-Term Technical Certificate programs, but scholarship assistance may be available. Students pursuing a Short-Term Technical Certificate may need to satisfy course prerequisites which may include placement testing.

    State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) training at Edison State provides students with a local classroom and clinical environment led by knowledgeable and experienced instructors. This accelerated course allows students to begin working as a STNA in just a few weeks.

    STNA training is scheduled throughout the year and includes classroom, online and clinical experience.
