Student Emergency Assistance
In the event of an unexpected emergency.
Do you need some help?
The Student Emergency Assistance Fund is available to currently enrolled Edison State students who qualify for assistance with emergency needs (beyond academics), that if not addressed, would impact their ability to remain enrolled in classes. Emergency funds may be awarded once per academic year. Funds are not awarded during semester breaks. Emergency funds are not awarded until the end of the add/drop period at the beginning of each semester.
ELIGIBLE EMERGENCIES/EXPENSES
- Unexpected loss or reduction of childcare
- Unexpected job loss or reduction of hours
- Unexpected car repairs that prevent attendance of classes
- Unexpected increase in rent or utilities
- Other scenarios may be awarded on a case-by-case basis
TO QUALIFY
- You must be currently enrolled at Edison State Community College.
- Expenses up to $500 will be considered.
- Emergency funds may be awarded once per academic year.
NOTE Financial Aid processing may take several days to complete. Please be aware of this and provide enough lead time, when possible, so that further financial consequences can be avoided.
