Edison State Community College will host State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) training beginning June 26, 2024. This course provides students with local classroom and clinical training led by experienced instructors and allows them to begin working as an STNA in a few short weeks.

The American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) has announced the 2024 Dale P. Parnell Faculty Distinction Recognition recipients, which includes Beka Lindeman, Associate Professor of English at Edison State Community College. The AACC recognized recipients during the Outstanding Alumni and Dale P. Parnell Distinguished Faculty brunch, part of its annual conference recently held in Louisville, Kentucky.

The Edison State Community College Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) inducted 27 new members during a recent ceremony at the Piqua Campus. Each semester, PTK invites students to join the honor society based on academic criteria.

Supporters recently came together at Edison State Community College’s Piqua Campus for the 14th annual Charger Athletics Reverse Raffle fundraiser to support Edison State Athletics. Over 200 people attended, which awarded one lucky ticket holder the $10,000 grand prize.

Walmart provided a $1,500 local community grant to The Edison Foundation, which it received on behalf of Edison State Community College. The College will use the grant to improve the Veterans’ Lounge at the Piqua Campus. Nathan Kelly, Store Manager of the Piqua Walmart, visited campus on Wednesday, July 23, during which he presented a grant check and toured the Veterans’ Lounge.

The Institutional Actions Council (IAC) of the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) granted approval to Edison State Community College to offer its first bachelor’s degree: Registered Nursing (RN) to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
