ACCUPLACER Assessment
Prospective CCP students who do not have a qualifying high school GPA or assessment scores must complete the ACCUPLACER Assessment at Edison State. The ACCUPLACER Assessment is an untimed, computerized assessment that measures students' current skill level in reading and math. Results from this assessment can be used to establish CCP program and course eligibility.
Students should have their application for admission submitted two (2) weeks prior to testing. Each student is permitted an initial ACCUPLACER Assessment at no cost. If needed, students may repeat the assessment after 21 days. ACCUPLACER Assessment attempts are limited to twice per year. Additional information about the CCP program and eligibility requirements can be found here.
To comply with College Board's assessment protocols, students MUST bring one form of appropriate identification to their ACCUPLACER appointment.
- State-issued photo ID (driver's license, learner's permit, passport, military ID, etc.)
School-issued photo ID - College Board Official ID Form
- Students without an application on file or appropriate identification will not be permitted to test.
An ACCUPLACER Score Report is emailed to students upon completion of the assessment. The report is emailed to the address provided at the time of the assessment. Students needing access to prior test results may access their score reports via the ACCUPLACER Student Portal.

ACCUPLACER offers free practice tests and learning resources to help you prepare. These free resources can be found here.
You will need to bring ONE form of appropriate identification. (Bring one of the following: state-issued photo ID, school-issued ID or College Board Official ID form.)
You will also need to bring a copy of your high school transcript (junior high students should bring a copy of their most recent grade card) if you have not already uploaded it to your Edison State Admissions Portal.
Students should not bring anything else into the testing center. All testing materials are provided, including scrap paper. Electronic devices are required to be turned off before entering the testing room.
Identification is required to test. Students who do not have a photo ID can complete the College Board Official ID Form. Students without appropriate identification will not be permitted to test.
You are not allowed to bring a calculator or use a handheld calculator on any ACCUPLACER math test. Some questions allow you to use an onscreen calculator. These questions will have a calculator icon in the top right corner of the screen.
The ACCUPLACER Assessment is untimed. Most students will take 2 hours to complete the ACCUPLACER Assessment, depending upon your placement level. Results are immediate.
Students may repeat the ACCUPLACER Assessment after 21 days. ACCUPLACER Assessment attempts are limited to twice per year.
After you have completed the ACCUPLACER Assessment, you are encouraged to meet with your Enrollment Manager to discuss your results and next steps.
