Edison State Offers Health Care Pathways Summer Camp
Edison State Community College is offering a Health Care Pathways Summer Camp at its Troy location to help participants launch their careers in health care. Sponsored by Edison State and the Ohio Department of Higher Education, the camp will take place 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday from June 2-18, 2025.

Campers will earn their Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) credential while gaining hands-on experience. They’ll learn essential nursing skills from professionals and gain the confidence to work in various health care settings.
Skills covered will include:
- Personal care assistance
- Resident safety and infection control
- Communication skills
- Basic medical terminology
- Obtaining vital signs
Those selected for the camp must attend Orientation Day on Tuesday, May 20, at 4 p.m. and will complete their clinical education on Friday, June 13, and Monday, June 16, from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Students must attend all courses and clinical dates and complete two-step tuberculosis (TB) screening. Upon completion, campers will receive a $250 stipend.
The Health Care Pathways Summer Camp is free but requires an application process based on merit and quality of responses, including an essay and a letter of recommendation.
