Edison State Honors 50 Years of Growth With Tree-Planting Initiative

In recent years, Edison State Community College’s Piqua Campus has lost many trees because of the removal of diseased ash trees, environmental factors, and building additions. To maintain a welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and the community, the College aims to plant 50 trees or more as part of its 50th Anniversary celebration.

This effort showcases Edison State’s commitment to sustaining a vibrant and appealing exterior environment that reflects the high-quality education and support services offered within. Edison State kicked off this effort with a Tree Ceremony held for faculty and staff over the summer.

The College invites students, faculty, staff, and community members to take part in strengthening the campus environment for all visitors and the community by gifting a tree with the option of dedicating it.
