Women in STEMM Expo
Edison State Community College is gearing up for our eighteenth annual Women in STEMM Expo professional conference for young women—a broad-based introduction to STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine) and its relationship to different vocations and careers. While young men are welcome, the focus is on girls due to their continuing under-participation in STEMM fields.
This year's expo will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024 and provides an introduction to STEMM and its application to different careers. During the day, students explore and apply STEMM related interactive activities and technology to work on real-world solutions. Topics for this year's breakout sessions include Can You See Sound?, "Roll" Into Creative Code, Can you Help Save Casper the Dog?, Use Your Superhero Powers, Adventures of Sam the Soybean, and many more! Download descriptive information on this year's breakout sessions via the button below.
We anticipate a capacity crowd, so please register early! Registration for the 2024 Women in STEMM Expo is NOW OPEN. Registration deadline is Friday, October 18, 2024 at midnight. An informational flyer can be downloaded via the button below.
