Respiratory Care
Respiratory Therapists specialize in assessing and treating patients—ranging from infants through senior citizens—to manage and control breathing problems that may have resulted from disease, trauma, or developmental issues. Respiratory therapists are trained in a variety of treatment techniques and equipment that allow them to save lives and improve the quality of life for patients, making them a valuable part of a patient's overall care team.
Accreditation
Edison State is seeking the Respiratory Care program accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC). Edison State can provide no assurance that accreditation will be granted by the CoARC. Preparatory courses will be offered in the fall of 2024. If approved, respiratory courses will begin in the spring of 2025.
