Medical Laboratory Technician
Medical Laboratory Technicians (also known as Clinical Laboratory Technicians) contribute to the health care field by helping physicians accurately diagnose and treat patients via obtaining, processing, testing and evaluating biological samples taken from patients—including blood and other body fluids. Students will become familiar with the use and maintenance of the equipment used in a clinical laboratory. Classes are held in classrooms and laboratories, while area hospitals provide clinical training sites. Individuals trained in this specialty are currently in demand.
Accreditation
The Medical Laboratory Technician Program is accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS).
