Holiday Evening at Edison State

Directly benefitting Edison State students.

Holiday Evening

For the students.

Holiday Evening at Edison State has become The Edison Foundation’s most successful scholarship fundraiser to date, raising over $57,926 in 2022 alone. Thanks to this success, 106 Edison State students from Darke, Miami, Shelby, Preble, Auglaize, Champaign, Clark, Logan, Mercer and Montgomery counties, have been offered over $122,660 in scholarships for the 2023–2024 academic year.

Proceeds from the Holiday Evening at Edison State event directly benefit recent high school graduates, as well as those returning to the classroom to start, change or advance their careers. Additionally, funds will be directed to The Foundation’s Student Emergency Assistance fund.

This annual event is known for outstanding entertainment and a festive atmosphere for supporters/donors—and has become a staple of the holiday season for many in the northern Miami Valley area. In previous years, the gala has featured a phenomenal array of appetizers, ice sculptures, holiday decorations and world-class entertainment, with performances by artists including Manhattan Transfer, Doc Severinsen, Matt Belsante, Harry Connick Jr., The Texas Tenors, John Tesh and Simply Three.

The 2024 Holiday Evening at Edison State will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., followed by music on three stages beginning at 6:30 p.m. This year's event will feature simultaneous performances by artists from the Edison State region—including The Kim Kelly Orchestra, Parker Hastings and the Springfield Symphony Orchestra String Quartet II—performing holiday songs and other selections befitting our holiday theme on three distinct stages. With each ticket purchased, patrons have  access to three performances, heavy hors d’oeuvres and two complimentary beverages.
