Meeting course eligibility requirements, or course prerequisites, permits a student to enroll in specific college courses. Course eligibility requirements are set by Edison State.
Students who are program eligible AND meet the criteria listed below qualify for these common Edison State course prerequisites.
NO PREREQUISITES: All students eligible for CCP qualify for courses without prerequisites. Examples: ART 123, BUS 110, COM 121, FIN 116
ENGLISH READY: Qualifying reading assessment score (ACT Reading 22+ or ACCUPLACER 250+) OR a high school 2.75 GPA and an "A" or "B" in English 10 or higher. Examples: ENG 121, HST 121, PSY 121, SOC 121
STATS READY: Qualifying math assessment score (ACT Math 20+ or ACCUPLACER QRAS 263+) OR a high school 2.75 GPA and an "A" or "B" in Algebra II or higher. Examples: BIO 121, MTH 120, MTH 125
MATH READY: Qualifying math assessment score (ACT Math 22+ or ACCUPLACER AAF 263+) OR a high school 2.75 GPA and an "A" or "B" in Algebra II or higher. Examples: MTH 122, MTH 123, MTH 128
