Edison State Hosting CNA Training Beginning April 15
Edison State Community College will host Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training beginning April 14, 2025. This course provides students with local classroom and clinical training led by experienced instructors and allows them to begin working as a CNA in a few short weeks.
March 11, 2025

The course will run from April 15 to May 6, 2025, with classes taking place on April 15-17, April 22-24, April 28-30, May 1, and May 5-6, from 3:30 to 8:30 p.m. Students will complete clinicals on May 3 and May 4 from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The classroom and clinical education will take place at the Brethren Retirement Community, located at 750 Chestnut Street in Greenville.
The demand for CNAs is high locally and across the state. Students who complete this training can find job opportunities with hospitals, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers, and home health care providers. Additionally, many nursing schools in Ohio require applicants to complete CNA training as a program prerequisite.
Students must meet certain requirements to participate in the class and clinical. Learn more and register by visiting www.edisonohio.edu/CNA.
Please note this course was previously known as State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) training. Senate Bill 144 now formally recognizes STNAs as CNAs, without any changes to their duties or requirements.
