The Edison Foundation Hosting An Evening at Edison State on November 5

The Edison Foundation at Edison State Community College will host An Evening at Edison State at the Piqua Campus on Thursday, November 5, from 7 to 9 p.m. The Foundation invites guests to step back in time for Speakeasy for a Cause, an immersive evening inspired by the glamour, mystery, and excitement of the Roaring Twenties.

Throughout the evening, guests will enjoy live entertainment featuring pianist David Wion; jazz band Heather & The Swing Set; and Cincinnati Circus performers, featuring a strolling magician, LED performer, and Lollipop Aerialists; along with interactive fundraising experiences.

Wion is a published composer of both keyboard and choral works and has been involved with many recordings of his music. He has participated in numerous musical and theatrical productions in the greater Dayton area and is currently the Executive Director of the Troy-Hayner Cultural Center in Troy, Ohio.

Heather & The Swing Set is a unique blend of talented musicians who are passionate about creating unforgettable experiences. From smoky ballads to toe-tapping swing, the ensemble brings jazz to life with style and soul.

Cincinnati Circus is a full-service entertainment company offering many types of entertainment. With several acts to choose from, they offer all types of physical performances, as well as comedy and corporate entertainment.

During An Evening at Edison State, guests can also enjoy light hors d’oeuvres by Eloquence Catering Services, with beer, wine, specialty drinks, and alcohol-free mocktails available for purchase. The Edison Foundation encourages guests to embrace Roaring Twenties glamour, with formal, black-tie optional attire.

Now in its 29th year, An Evening at Edison State is an annual fundraising event organized by The Edison Foundation. Proceeds from the event support Edison State in achieving its educational and community service goals. Funds raised help support scholarships, student emergency assistance, employee grants, capital improvements, and other initiatives that support student success.

Tickets for An Evening at Edison State are $75 each. Guests must be 21 or older to attend. To purchase tickets or become a sponsor, visit www.edisonohio.edu/generosity.
