The Edison Stagelight Players will present “The Brothers Grimm: A Collection of Fairy Tales,” October 16–25 in the Robinson Theatre at Edison State Community College’s Piqua Campus.
The production features a cast of 26 and includes seven familiar Grimm tales: “Hansel and Gretel,” “Sleeping Beauty,” “Rapunzel,” “The Bremen Town Musicians,” “The Robber Bridegroom,” “Rumpelstiltskin,” and “Doctor Know-All.”
The play combines humor, suspense, adventure, and some darker fairy-tale moments as the cast brings the stories to life on stage. Audiences will encounter familiar characters and themes of courage, fear, deception, hope, choices, and consequences.
The production is directed by Edison State Adjunct Instructor Emily Beisner, a graduate of The Ohio State University with a degree in theatre. Beisner has directed and performed in productions at Edison State and throughout the local theatre community.
